Life’s Treasures

My Family

I lost a friend to cancer a few weeks ago, and in the days since I have felt much sadness at the loss, but have also tried to open my eyes wider to the blessings that surround me every day. Maybe photography has always helped me do that in a way.

But everything in the world looks a little bit different when you view it in terms of the fleetingness and fragility of life.

I know Kristin would see it the same way and thought that in her honor, with this post I’d share a few of the people, places and things that make me happy and appreciative of life.

I hope I can take time every day to count my blessings, live with gratitude, and be kind. xo

And friends to ski them with.
Quiet, snowy glades on a bluebird day.
