I was so excited when Kelly emailed to ask if I’d like to photograph her new baby. But as excited as I was, I think my nine year old Ellie was even more! That’s because Kelly is Ellie’s third grade teacher (well, until Sienna arrived a few weeks ago). My other daughter Grace also had Kelly for a teacher a few years ago, and at that time we joined the rest of the class in the choir loft of their church to watch her and Adam get married.
Now they are a little family of four (Cody the dog has to be included in the count!) and Sienna was a dream to photograph. She was sleeping when I arrived — woke up for a little while and let me get some “awake” shots of her, and then went back to sleep so we could get a few more sleepy baby shots in (that’s a first for me on newborn shoots!)
