When Yan contacted me about photographing her wedding I knew it was a great fit for me — not only was it to be a small, family focused celebration, but it was to take place minutes from my house at beautiful Andover Inn on the campus of Phillips Academy.
I started the day at Yan & Dan’s home, prior to heading over to the Inn. The couple chose a blue and white color palette, and it tied so perfectly through every detail — even in the decor of their home.
I love these pictures of Yan (there are a few more in the series). She started out so serious, and I looked at her and said, “laugh!” and she just totally cracked up.
Once Yan was ready, we headed over to the Inn where I met up with Dan:
My second shooter for the day was Amy Buelow, who captured these two images of Yan and her dad walking down to the ceremony site:
We then headed over to the beautiful Phillips Academy campus for some portraits of the couple:
I love the back of Yan’s dress
And then it was time to head to the reception, which started with a very sweet first dance followed by the parent dances:
The cake cutting started just as you might expect, and then ended with a big laugh!
Thank you so much Yan & Dan, for choosing me to document your day!
